The first sparkling Rose from Vineyard 36. A blend of 86% Pinot Noir and 14% Chardonnay, made in method Champenoise. Bursting with fresh strawberry and raspberry cream flavors with bright acidity that leaves you wanting another sip. “Sabrage” is a technique for opening a champagne bottle with a saber, used for ceremonial occasions. The wielder slides the saber along the body of the bottle to break the top of the neck away, leaving the neck of the bottle open and ready to pour. This began during the French Revolution in 1789, and it's a celebratory way to open sparkling wine.
We honor this tradition, and we created the “AVS” Methode Champenoise, a California Brut Rosé, to celebrate life’s great occasions and wonderful victories. The label we chose commemorates the many great victories of Tim and Cam, with hockey skate marks throughout the design to represent their own battlefields.
