June 2020's Stop & Smell the Roses Mixed Case of Rosé

$ 144.00 $ 180.00

Rosé Season is here!
We love good Rosés all year long, but spring and summer is prime time for most Rosé drinkers, so our latest mixed case is chock full of our favorite pink wines that are both refreshing sippers by themselves and fantastic with a wide variety of foods.   10 bottles of the newest, freshest, most delicious Roses that we've tasted lately and two bottles of the Lambert 2018 that is still absolutely fantistic and being offered to us at a close out price (which we are passing along).  A $180 value for just $144 that includes two bottles of 4 wines and 4 single bottles of four others.  Included in the case are:

2 bottles JP Azeito Rose (Portugal) – A blend of 85% Syrah and 15% of the local varietal Moscatel Roxo from the Setubal Pinensula region of Portugal.  Looks and tastes like a top notch Rose from Provence but at half the price!  Light cranberry fruit with hints of classic Syrah raspberry are complimented my crisp minerality.
2 bottles Monte Ory Rose (Spain) - Monte Ory is a brand linked to the Navarra Kingdom and one of its frontiers, the peak of Ori. This mountain has been a bridge between France and Spain and pays homage to the relationship between the old kingdom of Navarra and the French Basque Country.  A blend of 60% Garnacha 40% Tempranillo, it has a bright and intense strawberry red color. Bold fruit flavors and highly aromatic with intense scents of red and citrus fruit and some floral aromas. A beautiful Rose that is intense, fruity and fresh yet remains soft and dry with well balanced favors and acidity.
2 Da Luca Sparkling Rose (Italy) -  This elegant sparkling Rosé is an equal blend of Merlot and Raboso from the Veneto region in Northern Italy with a fruity bouquet and vibrant notes of raspberry and strawberry.
2 bottles Simply Cinsault Rose ( South Africa) – In its native Rhone River Valley, Cinsault is relegated to supporting player, usually in red blends like Cotes du Rhone Rouge or Chateauneuf du Pape.  Today in South Africa is it most often used to make fantastic Rosés that often sell for a song and here is a perfect example.  Pale shallot skin in hue, with a nose of fresh cranberries and mountain fynbos. There's then a super bright palate of cranberries again, pink grapefruit and mandarin.
1 bottle Chateau Montrose Rose (Sud France) – A huge favorite last year and should be again this summer, because the 2019 version is even better than the 2018.  A blend of mostly Grenache complemented with 25% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Syrah. Flavors of red berries and peaches are nuanced by spicy overtones and crisp minerally undertones.
1 bottle Summer Water Rose (California) - This dry rosé reflects the pale pink promise of the perfect warm-weather wine. It’s delightfully crisp, lighthearted, and destined for a good time. The grapes for this Central Coast Grenache and Syrah blend were picked early in the season to achieve a natural acidity that’s ideal for summer drinking. To ensure as little extraction from the skins as possible, we used the direct press method, retaining the delicate fruit aromas and pale color rosé is known for. The result is light, aromatic, and dry - with notes of melon, peach, rose, and citrus.
1 bottle Aphillanthes Cotes du Rhone Rose (Rhone Valley, France) – Crafted using classic Rhone varietals (Grenache, Cinsault, Mourvedre and Counoise) from the estate’s certified biodynamically farmed vineyards. Deep orange-red in color with aromas of wild strawberry, raspberry and rain washed slate minerals. Silky red fruits drape over a mineral core, with racy acidity and a bit of grapefruit zest on the crisp, fruity finish.
1 bottle Pisoni Family "Lucy" Rose (California) - Born from the cold and windy slopes of the Santa Lucia Highlands, the 2019 Lucy Rosé reflects a true sense of place as its pale grapefruit hue catches the light with each swirl in the glass. Just as sea meets land a short distance north, crisp notes of salinity and sea air mingle and dance with delicate aromas of fresh strawberry, orange peel, and peach blossom. Gentle pressing combined with minimal skin contact produces this rosé of distinct purity; one which, when paired with neutral barrel aging, creates additional texture that offers a complexity not available in most wines of its type. With bracing, refreshing acidity, Lucy is a wonderful accompaniment to flavorful foods and friendly conversation.The Pisoni Family has always been committed to making exceptional wines, and Lucy allows them to combine this passion with philanthropy. The Pisoni family donates one dollar of each bottle sold to Breast Cancer Research. Since inception, over $125,000 has been raised for this cause.
