Reynolds Family 2012 Stags Leap District Merlot
Winemaker's Notes - Merlot is a dark blue-colored wine grape variety that is used as both a blending grape and for variety specific wines. The name Merlot is thought to be a diminutive of merle, the French name for the blackbird, probably a reference to the color of the grape. From the renowned Annapurna Vineyard, our Merlot, is elegant, restrained, yet vibrant. Aromas of fresh thyme and cedar with flavors of black raspberries and bitter chocolate lead your palate on a journey. Don’t feel shy about taking this bottle into your favorite steakhouse, we promise it will hold up to that Rib-eye steak just as well and maybe even better than a Cabernet.
