Made by Pierre Gaillard, the 2017 Dans La Neige Rhone White is a blend of 65% of Northern St. Joseph Roussanne and 35% Condrieu. Aged in all neutral oak barrels for 12 months, this elegant wine offers notes of acacia, honeysuckle, white peach and spice. Perfect for food pairing with its seamless texture, purity of fruit and clean finish. It is great with any tomato based food as well as saffron.
The 2017 Côtes du Rhône Blanc is a beauty, with Condrieu-like notes of tart apricot, white flowers, and a hint of minerality to go with a medium-bodied, layered, beautifully textured style on the palate. This is what you call a smoking value. The blend is one-third each of Viognier (from Condrieu), Roussanne, and Marsanne, and it was brought up all in neutral oak.
