La Celia Malbec/Cabernet Franc

$ 14.99

The Bustos family, which owns La Celia, is credited with planting the first Malbec vines in Mendoza's Uco Valley. Opening with pleasing aromas of plum, a little cranberry, blueberry fruit combined with lovely floral and spice notes with a hint of vanilla. As wonderful as it smells, it tastes even better. Tons of fresh dark fruit imbued with spice and coffee notes and wrapped up in a smooth, velvety and delicious texture. Cabernet Fran is really on the rise in Argentina and in this combination of grapes, the Cabernet Franc addings a great earthy dimension to the fruit from the Malbec. The coffee and spice notes come to the front on the earthy finish that features more dark, juicy fruit and even some mineral notes.
