Saint-Julien is home to more classified growth Bordeaux chateau than any other AOC in Bordeaux, and in fact the vineyards of Les Ormes used to be part of the 2nd growth classified Leoville Barton estate. The wine shows absolutely gorgeous aromas of dark cherries, dark plum, spices, floral, licorice along with some hints of tobacco. It’s beautifully balanced and supported by velvety tannins which are well integrated. The finish is long and caressing with dark fruits and a spicy edge.
93pts Wine Enthusiast
From one of the rare estates in Saint-Julien that is not a classed growth, this wine has many of the same perfumed, elegant characteristics as its illustrious neighbors. Restrained tannins show well against the ripe black-currant fruit and spice from new-wood aging. Drink this wine from 2024.
