This is another Cabernet we've had trouble keeping in stock. More arrived today so grab some of this incredible value before it disappears again. As their logo states, the Castoro Estate Cabernet is "dam fine wine" (Castoro means beaver in Italian), and is currently one of our favorite Cabs under $20. Dark berry fruit, loamy soil and dense purple flowers make for a pure straightforward Paso Robles Cab. The palate shows pleasant flavors of black currant and black cherry with hints of vanilla and anise-laced biscotti. The tannins are chalky, and a bit clunky at first and smooth out beautifully with a little air.
