Great Value Whites Mixed Case – January 2022
$165 value for just $125
The mixed case includes 2 bottles each wine:
Cabriz Blanc (Spain) - Crafted from 4 Portuguese varietals that few people have ever heard of, all you need to know it that it is absolutely delicious and only 10 bucks a bottle. bright yellow color, with greenish highlights. On the palate it is a wine of great aromatic intensity, where aromas of pears, green apples and citrus fruits predominate. In the mouth, it is very fresh with mineral nuances. It is a very harmonious, elegant and balanced wine.
Vetriccie Ile de Beaute Blanc (France) - Cold winter nights have you already longing for warmer weather? This stainless steel fermented blend from the island of Corsica is a blend of Chardonnay and Vermentino literally smells like a sunny spring day. Bursting with fresh apple, peach, citrus, honeysuckle and gentle spice notes, this will perk up your day in no time.
Enlightenment Garnacha Blanc (Spain) - If you like unoaked whites like Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio and haven’t yet tried a Garnacha/Granache Blanc, then here is a great one to get you started and to help you “see the light.” Awash with tangerine and grapefruit, minerals and a salty tang that likely comes from the fact that the grapes are grown on steeply terraced vineyards that look out over the sea on a three hectare estate of white, granite-rich sand.
Spy Valley "Satellite" Sauvignon Blanc (New Zealand) - Satellite is an organically farmed project from the folks at Spy Valley. They've joined with the Forest & Bird Mission to help restore the area adjacent to their "Area H" vineyard to its natural wetlands state and a wildlife sanctuary. Of course this means Satellite is made from sustainably farmed, organically grown grapes and exhibits classic Marlbrough flavors. Aromatic, ripe, and exotic, it exhibits tropical and citrus fruit with herbaceous and mineral notes. Ripe guava, kiwi, grapefruit, lemon, fresh-cut grass, and wet stone also abound. This is an appealing dry white wine and a true expression of a Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand.
Olivares Rosado (Spain) - Another winner from Olivares! This gorgeous Rose is made from the first juice released after loading Garnacha grapes into the tanks, so called “mosto flor”, that holds very fragrant aromas. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at low temperature. Fresh peach and strawberry aromas pick up a spicy nuance with air. Silky and focused on the palate, offering juicy red fruit and bitter citrus pith flavors and a touch of candied flowers. Finishes long and smooth, with a repeating citrus fruit note and lingering spiciness. - 91 VINOUS
Tilia Chardonnay (Argentina) - Tilia is the first Argentine wine to be allowed to carry the Bodegas de Argentina Certified Sustainable Seal on its label. A gorgeous golden yellow color with greenish hues is the first thing one notices when pouring a glass of the pretty Chardonnay. Second is the inticing nose of white flowers and tropical fruit (pineapple, banana and peach), laced with complex, refreshing mineral hints. The following palate has a fresh, intense mouthfeel of sweet tropical fruit and peach, laced with crème brûlée and toasted bread flavors. Finishes long and lingering with crisp, balanced acidity and a subtle mineral undertone.750ml x 12
