Grove Mill Sauvignon Blanc (New Zealand) – Grove Mill Sauvignon Blanc 2021 is bright pale straw in color with a light green hue. A bouquet of intense and lifted tropical fruits and vibrant palate makes for a punchy and contemporary style of Wairau Valley Sauvignon Blanc. Fresh and juicy, showing notes of lemon-lime and green apple, with lemongrass and lemon thyme accents on the mouthwatering, crisp finish.
Nagelsforst Weissburgunder (Austria) – Creamy yellow apple, hazelnut and spice abound in this plump, juicy Pinot Blanc. Dry and silky on the palate, it's an easy-drinking wine with succulent orchard-fruit flavors but is elevated by lingering mineral tones and a zesty lime finish.
Hugues Beaulieu "HB" Picpoul de Pinet (France) - Picpoul is one of our favorite summertime refreshers, with zippy flavors that remind us of Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Grigio combined together. Pale yellow color with green tints. Fresh and fine aromas of grapefruit and exotic fruit. Lime flavors, with typical focusing acidity, are hallmarks of Picpoul. An incredible value, this wine impresses novices and hardened geeks equally. Known as the Muscadet of the South in France, this is to the Mediterranean coast of France what Albariño is to northwest Spain.
Lyrarakis Winery Vidiano (France) – Vidiano has a pale yellow color. Aromas of apricot and citrus with hints of blooming herbs reveal the rich varietal character of Vidiano. The mouthfeel is balanced with vibrant acidity & nice structure with a strong presence of fruit and minerality in the aftertaste. Vidiano matches perfectly with all kinds of sea food, meat with creamy sauces as well as Mediterranean dishes with vegetables.
Ferraton La Tournee Rose (France) - Grenache and Cinsault are the classic southern grapes for dry Rosé wines. Light pink in color with framboises and bright red berry flavors. The Grenache vines for this wine are located on clay and calcarous hillsides and the Cinsault from sandy plains, in the Herauld and Gard area, in de Languedoc in the south of France. The harvest is done at night to prevent the grapes from oxidation and preserve optimum freshness. The grapes are then directly pressed without maceration, and the wine is cooled down and left on fine lees. Then the wines are aged in stainless steel vats, again preserving its freshness.
Bodegas Luzan "Verde" (Spain) - Certified organic fruit from Luzon's vineyards in Jumilla, this fantastic Monastrell is a spectacular bargain. Bright with lifted, intense aromas and flavors of tart cherries and cranberries, black pepper and oregano. High-toned with a streak of tangy citrus. The alcohol is 14.5% which provides a biggish body and complimentary ripe tannins and a zip of acidity. Black pepper and dried herbs round things out, with a steady finish and enough structure for 5-10 years of positive development.
Tomas Cusine "Vinosell" (Spain) - 55% Ull de Llebre (Tempranillo), 25% Syrah & 20% Garnatxa. Smocked, pungent aromas of black and blue fruits and dark chocolate, with a peppery overtone. Plush and appealingly sweet, offering spicy blackberry and boysenberry flavors and a hint of mocha. Finishing with a good breadth, length, lingering tannins with a smokey, earthy undertones.
Terres Vivantes "La Lutine" Beaujolais Villages (France) – Terres Vivantes Beaujolais-Villages La Lutine is a beautiful expression of Gamay from the famous French appellation of Beaujolais. On silty soils mixed with granitic sands, the harvest from the oldest Gamay Noir vines of the domaine is destemmed for a 20-day maceration with gentle punching down, pressing without trituration and aging in barrels for one year. The color is a dark purple, and the aromas of blackberries, wax and licorice bear witness to a scorching summer. On the palate, it keeps the finesse and crunchiness of Gamay with a felted tannic structure.
Tenuta l'Impostino Toscana (Italy) – Of a fresh and lively ruby color and of intense and fresh aromas of flowers and fresh and pulpy fruits, among which are recognizable the viola, the cherry and the blackberry. It is a structured and well balanced wine, with a slender body, distinguishable for a peculiar pleasant taste, supported by a likely softness, and well balanced by fresh sensations and an not intrusive tannin.
Marcolino Sebo Borba Alentejo Reserva (Portugal) – Dark garnet, almost opaque and an incredibly lovely this nose of dark fruits, earth, spice, vanilla, oak and plum. Swirl and sniff for a little bit and you'll get something new every time. On the palate, the spice and dark fruit take the lead with the oak rounding out the fruit nicely.
Field Recordings "Fiction" Red Blend (Paso Robles) - This red is a quirky “kitchen sink” blend of grapes: 21% zinfandel, 15% sangiovese, 13% petite sirah, 12% syrah, 8% alicante bouschet, 7% charbono, 7% grenache, 7% cabernet franc, 5% cabernet sauvignon, and 5% corvina! The wine is a full-bodied, fruit-forward expression of the Paso Robles region. The fruit is decidedly black/blue in profile, while the tannins are firm yet well-integrated. Luxurious notes of blueberries, blackberries, smoked meat, and spice mingle with hints of licorice and menthol.
Clos LaChance 22 Pirates (California) - 22 Pirates was created to employ the finest Rhone Varietals from premier wine growing regions throughout California. The wine is a distinct representation of the harmony and balance that can be created when using all or some of the 22 Varietals.
