Great Value Reds Mixed Case – 5th Edition
$205 value for just $119
Get this incredible box of mixed reds for an average of just $10.40 per bottle! Times are tough, and we know that blowing a lot of money on consumable goods like wine isn’t practical for many these days, so Taylor’s is stepping up to make sure you can still keep drinking great hand crafted wines at “everyday” prices without having to shop at the grocery store or rely on the random wines that some nameless, faceless on-line wine club sends you.
Each case includes 2 bottles each wine:
Raimat “Pirinenca” Tempranillo (Spain) – We first found out about Raimat when the distributor put their fantastic Albarino, and loved it so much we jumped on the Tempranillo when they offered us a great deal on it for this month. A fresh nose with dark red fruits & hints of cocoa and spice leading into flavors of ripe black fruit and hints of orange peel. The palate showcases great structure in mouth & sweet tannins giving it a pleasant length.
Loco Linda Malbec (Argentina)–The “crazy” folks behind one of our favorite value Rosés, Jolie Folle, are working their crazy magic in Argentina now and have delivered a wonderful Malbec, again in a value size 1L bottle. This is a classic Argentinian Malbec with richness, purity of flavors (black plum, black cherry, fig, and violets with hints of pepper, oak, and leather), sweet fruit tannins with a bright medium finish.
Domaine Pontbriand Vaucluse (France) – This fabulous, summer friendly red is from the southern Franch region of Vaucluse and is a blend of 40% Grenache, 40% Caladoc, Syrah 10%, Marselan 10%. Crafted from the estate’s thirty-five years old vines, they are traditionally vinified to produce a wine which is immediate in its impact: Sumptuous fruit abounds from start to finish, from heady aromas, tinged with violets, to the flavors engraved with a plump generosity, lasting all the way to a smooth and savory finish.
Firestone Vineyard Merlot (California)–Firestone’s Merlot delivers textbook aromas of black and red cherry with bright raspberry notes. On the palate, subtle toasted oak adds a soft vanilla and spice element to round out the fruit.
Sebastopol Oaks Cabernet Sauvignon (California)–Talented winemaker Joe Otos, doesn’t just oversee winemaking for our pals at The Treasure Hunter, he also crafts this amazing value Cabernet. Luscious cassis and black plum fruit mingle with notes of tea leaf, Christmas spices and sweet tobacco.
Redhead Studios “Yard Dog” Red (South Australia) – Shiraz may be Top Dog in Australia, but don' count out the lovable mutts. Yard Dog is a blend of Cabernet, Petit Verdot and Merlot, the forgotten varietals of Australia, and we guarantee you'll fall in love with this pound hound of a wine. Easily gulp-able fruit power with blackcurrant crunch, firm structural tannins, and a slight touch of oak. 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Petit Verdot, 10% Merlot
750ml x 12
